frank gibson photography (our latest news!)

Well, hey everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's always exciting to look at our calendar and anticipate the array of weddings that we are going to celebrate as the year unfolds.  Each one is so uniquely different and special.

We're always so amazed and delighted at how creative and flexible our brides are! Come rain (lots of it), or shine - never a dull moment and always a laugh or two!  That's what makes our job so much fun!

If you have any questions, please feel free to call and chat.. We also love to stay connected and in touch with our former brides and grooms too, so, if that's you stopping by, we hope you'll drop us a line and tell us what you've been up to!

Blessings!

Frank and Wendy

“To the bride and groom — May their joys be as bright as the morning, and their sorrows but shadows that fade in the sunlight of love.” ~Minna Thomas Antrim, A Book of Toasts, 1902

Spending the day with Abby and Jay was such a treat!  Beautiful weather, the gathering of family and friends from near and far, and The Chimneys as the perfect backdrop to their ceremony and reception only added to the joy of their wedding day!

Congratulations and blessings to Abby and Jay!

shelby and luke

It has been such a blessing getting to know Shelby and Luke over the months leading up to their wedding day.  When Shelby first contacted us, we played ‘email tag’ for a few days until we realized that Shelby and Luke lived in Japan and our time zones weren’t matching up.  ;)   But when we finally connected, it was so neat to hear the love story that took Shelby all the way from Georgia to Japan where Luke lived – and we knew their wedding day was going to be something extra special …

… just a touch before the ceremony …

Congratulations and hugs to Shelby and Luke!

ashley and kevin

We had been looking forward to Ashley and Kevin’s wedding day for months because we knew it was going to be so very special!  We’ve known Ashley and her family for many years so it was wonderful to be a small part of their wedding day celebration.  The weather forecast was looming … dark clouds and rain coming down off and on the night before … But even with intermittent ‘day of’ showers, the clouds parted just at the right time for us to capture their beautiful day …

Ashley and Kevin’s wedding ceremony was held at Faith Creek United Methodist church where Ashley’s mom and dad were married 40 years ago!  Now that’s something special!

The reception was held at Ashley’s grandfather’s lake home – exactly where Ashley had always dreamed of having her reception!  We loved that … and yes, it was magical …

Congratulations and hugs to Ashley and Kevin! xo

“Love is not an affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.”— C.S. Lewis

There is something especially romantic about a winter wedding and when it’s on the cusp of New Year’s Eve, (and a brand new year),  it’s even more exciting! Lindsey and Alan’s wedding day arrived frosty and cold but that only added to the coziness of the White Oaks beautiful, twinkle-light-lit barn and all the loveliness of gathering together with family and friends to celebrate such a special day!   Joy upon joy!

Lindsey was such a great sport – even with the cold wind that was blowing across the open fields, she never stopped smiling!
