frank gibson photography (our latest news!)

Hi Everyone!  Welcome Spring! We've been having such a great time getting to know all of our couples and seeing their wedding plans unfold.  It's a joy and privilege to be a part of such a special time.

We're always amazed and delighted at how creative and flexible our brides are - this makes for those super fun, unexpected images!  Come rain (lots of it), or shine - never a dull moment and always a laugh or two!  That's what makes our job so much fun - we love the joy of it ALL!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you have any questions, please feel free to call and chat.. We also love to stay connected and in touch with our former brides and grooms so, if that's you stopping by, we hope you'll drop us a line and tell us what you've been up to!

Blessings!

Frank and Wendy

real life weddings ... the story of your day

angelica and andrew

It’s so much fun getting to know our brides and grooms and see how their unique personalities and ideas play out on their wedding day – no two are ever the same which makes it extra special!  We’ve known Angelica’s sweet family for many years and were honored to shoot her sister’s wedding (Michaela and Patrick) just a little over a year ago.  We were doubly-excited to get to see everyone again AND capture Angelica and Andrew’s perfect wedding day at the beautiful Summerour Studio in Atlanta ~ Enjoy!

The ceremony was extra special with Angelica’s Dad officiating…

And their send off was definitely a first!  A stray firecracker had Patrick making a mad dash to intercede and protect little Grace who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!  Our hero in action!  :D

Congratulations and hugs to Angelica and Andrew!!

brittany and kevin (part two ~ wedding!)

As promised, here is Part Two of Brittany and Kevin’s beautiful wedding weekend!  Their wedding day dawned bright and sunny (after a sprinkle or two from the night before) and it was glorious for a mid-March, (St. Patrick’s Day) wedding!  It was truly a blessing to be with our sweet friends and share in such a special and memorable day….enjoy!

Brittany and Kevin decided to do a ‘First Look’ ….

As self-proclaimed professional wedding food and cake analysts, :D Frank and I knew right away that their reception was going to be extra special…Vera Stewart of ‘Very Vera‘ was catering and their professional team could be seen everywhere, setting things up, arranging flowers and trays, and best of all, carrying those signature scrumptious cakes with delicate care to their appointed spots on the main table.  I happened to get a taste of the Strawberry Cake later that evening (it was hard to choose) and it was incredibly wonderful!  I later learned that Oprah had already dubbed it one of her ‘Favorite Things’! (mine too!)

What a treat when Brittany’s Dad jumped in to join Legacy band’s rhythm and sound!

hCongratulations and Hugs to you both! xo

brittany and kevin (part one)

Frank and I had been looking forward to Brittany and Kevin’s March wedding for MANY months and it was such a treat when their wedding week finally arrived!  The forecast called for unprecedented beautiful weather for mid-March AND we were going to get to be with some of our favorite families and dear friends that we’ve known forever … always a huge blessing!

Kevin’s parents hosted the magnificent rehearsal dinner celebration to herald in the wedding festivities starting with pre-dinner cocktail hour on the rooftop of the historic Georgia Theatre in Athens and dinner in the theatre’s main room and upper levels ~ so lovely!

What a fun evening and tip-of-the-hat prelude to their beautiful wedding day!  More to come so stay tuned!  :D

megan and eddie

Frank and I have had the wonderful privilege of getting to know so many brides and grooms and their families over the past year! What a delight to be a small part of such a special time in their lives and to consider them fast friends by the time the last petal is tossed, the sparklers fizzle, or an extra hug is given to a mom or dad in the frenzy of an end-of-the-night send off.

Getting to know Megan and Eddie has been an extra special blessing to US!  They are the NICEST couple ~ genuine, caring, and an all-around JOY to be with.  Megan looked beautiful and never stopped smiling the entire day.  :D  Their New Year’s Eve wedding was the perfect way to ring in 2012 with beloved family and friends….

This was one of my favorite moments of the day ~ Megan’s Dad peeking in to see Megan for the first time in her wedding dress.  And, Megan whispering back her thanks to him for her beautiful dress – how precious is that….?

Megan and Eddie decided to do a quick ‘First Look’

Congratulations and HUGS to Megan and Eddie!

Ceremony ~ Peachtree Christian Church

Reception ~ Georgian Terrace

Wedding Gown ~ Wedding Angels
